Knowledge Management
Knowledge Management is a multidisciplinary discipline that aims to capture and share knowledge within the organisation or across organisations. The goal is to capture and preserve organisational knowledge so the organisation(s) can make good use of it, optimising upcoming operations and processes. Knowledge Management is about making the right knowledge available to the right people at the right time. It encompasses a collective learning process by identifying, capturing, storing, and sharing knowledge to drive value and meet organisational goals.
Why Knowledge Management
Irrespective of the industry, knowledge is the core of your business. But knowledge needs to be managed to be turned into an asset and add value. Knowledge Management is about building a system and a process that ensures a systematic approach to identifying, capturing, understanding, and sharing knowledge. Without Knowledge Management, every employee, department or organisation will have to learn individually, performing below their potential, on cost and time and ultimately safety.
Experiences
For the last eight years, I have been responsible for developing and driving optimisation across the organisation through knowledge sharing and building knowledge management systems with the ability, the shared knowledge not only cross-functionally within the organisation but also outside the organisation. These knowledge-sharing systems and processes have been a vital part of the Service Delivery Model and Customer Engagement Model, which I also have been responsible for, to strengthen customer relationships and engagement.
In addition, for more than 20 years, I have been responsible for managing cost-efficient and safe operations by driving and developing knowledge-sharing systems with continuous great success.
