Deepwater Drilling Operation I

This course is intended for individuals working closely with the operations departments within their companies drilling in deep water. The course will cover all aspects, from planning a typical deep water well to selecting and operating a deepwater rig.

This training course is often used for onboarding new employees in deepwater drilling functions.  

Objectives

The objectives of this course are to provide participants with a thorough understanding of deepwater drilling operations and processes, risks and challenges. Equipment and limitations will also be discussed. This will allow the participant to plan and execute work in a more structured and safe manner, giving a more efficient working day, blending into the culture onboard, and establishing themself as valuable team players.

Learning Outcome

The course will give the participant an understanding of deepwater well design and operations, including the challenges faced in the deepwater drilling environment.
